Community Guidelines
Welcome to Birdie — a community built by mothers, for mothers. Our goal is to create a space rooted in trust, compassion, and belonging where every mom feels seen, supported, and safe to be herself. These Community Guidelines exist to protect that space. By participating in Birdie (via our website, app, or local events), you agree to uphold the following principles.
1. Be Kind and Respectful
We treat each other with kindness, empathy, and respect — even when we disagree. There’s room for many perspectives, but not for personal attacks, name-calling, or judgment. Assume good intent, listen with care, and lead with compassion.
2. Protect Privacy and Confidentiality
What’s shared in Birdie stays in Birdie. Do not screenshot, copy, or share posts, messages, or identifying information outside the platform without permission. Every member deserves to feel safe being open and honest.
3. No Hate, Harassment, or Discrimination
Birdie is a space for all mothers — regardless of background, race, sexuality, relationship status, religion, or ability. Hate speech, harassment, bullying, or discrimination of any kind will result in immediate removal.
4. Keep It Real — No Spam or Self-Promotion
We love resource-sharing, but Birdie isn’t a place for unsolicited sales pitches or spam. You may share personal projects, services, or small businesses in designated spaces (like MAMAZ Market or Local Chapters) with authenticity and transparency.
5. Respect Boundaries
Avoid giving unsolicited advice, medical guidance, or criticism of other members’ parenting choices. If you share sensitive or triggering content, please use a content warning so others can engage mindfully.
6. Contribute with Intention
Every voice matters. Post and comment in ways that uplift the collective — share your experience, offer encouragement, and help others feel less alone. The strength of Birdie lies in our shared stories and mutual support.
7. Protect Your Account and Others
You are responsible for your account activity. Do not impersonate others or create fake profiles. If you notice suspicious activity or feel unsafe, report it immediately to support@joinbirdie.co or through the in-app reporting feature.
8. Follow the Law
All members must comply with applicable laws, including copyright, privacy, and defamation laws. Do not post content that violates intellectual property rights, promotes illegal activity, or includes explicit material.
9. Safety First
Birdie reserves the right to moderate, remove, or restrict any content or account that violates these guidelines or poses a risk to members’ well-being. Our moderation team may issue warnings, remove content, or revoke membership to protect the community.
10. We Grow Together
Birdie is an evolving community. We may update these guidelines as we grow and learn together. Continued participation signifies agreement to the most recent version of our guidelines.
