Hi, my name is Danielle, and I am the founder of Birdie—

a community for single mamas.

My journey into motherhood was anything but simple. I worked an incredibly stressful, often 60+ hours a week job throughout pregnancy, in the middle of COVID, unable to travel or connect with loved ones. My husband couldn’t come to any of my preganancy check-ins; my baby shower was via Zoom. I remember screaming into a COVID mask while giving birth. Just weeks before my maternity leave ended, I was laid off from a job I threw my whole heart into. On top of navigating postpartum challenges, I faced betrayal and infidelity in my marriage. I went from being a married mama to a single mama, and for a while, I felt incredibly lonely and isolated.

But one thing carried me: women—especially other single mothers.

In their strength, honesty, and solidarity, I found light again. Through healing and raising my child, I realized something unexpected: while I might never have another baby, I could still create something deeply meaningful.

That’s how Birdie was born.

Birdie is my second baby—a nest for single moms to land, rest, and rise. A place built with love and empathy for every kind of single mama, supporting their unique journey.

We all carry different stories, but what we share is resilience, love, and the need for connection. Too often, we move through our days holding it all together alone, unsure where we can truly open up.

Birdie is that space.

It’s a warm, judgment-free community where you can show up exactly as you are and know you’ll be seen, heard, and supported. A place to share wisdom, swap resources, find encouragement, laugh, cry, and celebrate each other.

Birdie offers tools and spaces—resources, job boards, swaps, and support—but most importantly, it offers connection. Because, as we tell our children, sharing is caring.

My hope is that Birdie helps single mothers not just feel less alone, but truly thrive.
To rebuild, to breathe, to rise—and to remember: you don’t have to do this alone.

So whether you’re here to find support, friendship, or a quiet place to land, you have a home here.

Welcome to Birdie. I’m so glad you’re here.
